Whether you are a new or existing user, a Training Workshop will help you maximize your usage of the software.
Workshops get you started quickly, on the right foot and headed in the right direction.
Tokay & You – Perfecting Your Backflow Prevention Program Together!
A Tokay Workshop is a totally hands-on approach to system setup and training unlike any training you have ever experienced. We start by just listening. Then we take what we learned and distill it down to the essentials. We set up the software to do what you need it to do and then we train you how make the best possible use of the software tools to meet your specific program needs. Most importantly, we make sure your data is both ‘clean’ and meaningful.
Who it is for?
If you want to get started quickly, or revitalize an existing program, a Tokay Workshop is key. Every utility (regardless of size) and every user benefits from a workshop.
How Will it Enhance Business?
Workshops are the fastest way to jump-start new backflow programs or re-organize and re-activate an existing backflow program. For three intense days, two Tokay staff will be on-site to focus on program goals, data and user understanding. On the afternoon of the final day, you will be pleasantly surprised with how much has been accomplished — you will be far ahead of where you were on the morning of day one.
- Getting Started Quickly
- Validating the Data
- Organizing the Information
- Getting Everyone on the Same Page
On-site Workshops are a gift of time; by focusing on the goals and needs of your backflow prevention program and getting your team all on the same page, we create unbelievable management and operational efficiencies. We are invested in effective, Cross-Connection Control programs. Planning, data organization, and well-trained users are the bedrock of highly successful backflow programs.
We offer a variety of on-site Workshops designed to address specific utility needs. There is no limit to the number of attendees, but we find groups of ten or less result in the most productive workshops.
We have twenty-five plus years of Cross-Connection Control program administration experience — decades more than anyone in the industry. The depth of our experience allows us to intelligently identify what works (and what does not work). We have helped hundreds of utilities set up successful backflow programs. When a utility is first starting out (or revitalizing) a Cross-Connection Control program, there are many choices and many decisions to make and then implement. We share our expertise as we help explore the possibilities. Consulting workshops work best when good planning is fundamental to organizing the Cross-Connection Control program. Large utilities especially benefit greatly from consulting workshops.
Installation + Training
The first requirement of a functional backflow prevention program is meaningful data. We work with you to analyze, clean and normalize the data. We have been organizing effective backflow programs for several decades; we know what questions to ask. We know how to translate the information you give us into a success system.
Consulting + Installation + Training
One workshop addresses everything you need to get a backflow program started swiftly and on the right path to success. Day one focuses on planning, day two on data validation and analysis, and day three on installation and training. Post workshop training follows via email and phone. Your new backflow prevention program will be live on the day the workshop is completed.
The Tokay Method
We conduct workshops differently than anyone in the industry. Tokay workshops are conducted in a conference room with everyone around the same table sharing concerns while brain storming solutions. Training is also a group activity. One screen, one keyboard – we talk, we train and we review; each participant experiences the tools and completes the tasks. One by one, each person in the room understands, gains competencies, and helps the next person who has the mouse. This method of training allows each user to learn at their own pace.
