Q- Should
we complete our surveys before we order
software?
A- No the best approach is to use the survey module built
into the Navigator. You can schedule surveys, print survey due
letters and generate survey forms directly from the software.
You can use the Navigator to generate 'have done' and 'to do'
reports. By starting out with the software you will keep your
program organized and on track.
Q- Why should we link the
Backflow records with the water records?
A- We have
successfully linked hundreds of backflow programs to their
water billing programs. The link to water records keeps the
names and addresses in the backflow records current and thus
correct. Notices will not be returned and manual updating of
the backflow records is eliminated.
Q- Will the Navigator 'flag' a
record when it needs testing?
A- Yes- the Navigator
will let you know what assemblies need testing by the day, the
week, the month, the season, or the year. The software will
also identify those sites that need a 2nd or 3rd notice.
Backflow assemblies will automatically be rescheduled for
testing.
Q- How can we install the
software on more than on computer?
A- You need to
purchase a multi-user license. A Tokay multi-user license (one
time fee) allows you to install the software on as many
workstations as you like (on one local area network
server.)
Q- Can we track meters, grease
traps and fire hydrants?
A- Yes, the Navigator
is set up to easily track information other than backflow.
Q- Is the Navigator a Windows
application?
A- Yes, the Navigator
is a true Microsoft Windows application. It was developed in
Microsoft Visual Studio. All tool bars and icons duplicate
standard Microsoft applications.
